Firm Obtains Local Approvals for Michigan City Employer’s Expansion

Jon A. Schmaltz successfully obtained a special use permit, variance from bulk development standards, and traffic and engineering approval for the construction of a major industrial expansion in Michigan City, Indiana, in December, 2010.  In addition to securing these land use approvals, Mr. Schmaltz helped obtain 10 year abatements on real and personal property taxes along with other economic incentives for the client who, in turn, is creating more than 60 full time jobs in connection with the expansion project.
