Kevin is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Services Practice Group and is resident in the firm’s Valparaiso office. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he was an Honors Scholar. Mr. Steele received his law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law where he was a member of the Adelphia Law Journal.
Mr. Steele is admitted to practice before all state and federal trial and bankruptcy courts in Indiana. He is also admitted to the Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Kevin practices Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation and Foreclosure Litigation. He also represents clients in the appellate courts of Indiana and the federal courts. Kevin has represented clients before the Indiana Tax Court. He has lectured in the areas of construction law, real estate liens and the litigation of those claims. Mr. Steele has also taught courses in ethics to other attorneys.
Kevin belongs to the American Bar Association (Litigation and Construction Law Sections), the Indiana State Bar Association (Litigation and Construction Law Sections), the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (Business Litigation and Construction Law Sections), the Porter County Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. He is also a board member of the Calumet American Inn of Court.
