About George W. Carberry

George W. Carberry is an AV-rated lawyer under the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory guidelines and is a former managing partner of Burke Costanza & Carberry LLP.  He was educated at the University of Notre Dame and the Valparaiso University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review.  He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Staton of the Court of Appeals of Indiana.

Mr. Carberry’s practice is concentrated in business law, trust and estate planning, and trust and estate administration. He also represents physicians and physician practice groups, dentists and other health professionals throughout Northwest Indiana.

His professional affiliations include membership in the Lake County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations.

Mr. Carberry is a former Chief Volunteer Officer (Board Chair) of the Valparaiso, Indiana, Family YMCA; legal counsel to and a member of the board of directors of the YMCA Foundation of Valparaiso; a member and past president of the Valparaiso Rotary Club, and a past Board chair and currently a member of the Governance Committee of United Way of Porter County. He was named an Outstanding Professional Advisor by the Porter County, Indiana, Community Foundation, and he received the Dorothy M. Porter Volunteer Award from United Way of Porter County for exceptional services rendered. He is a past recipient of the Distinguished Community Leader Award given by the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and earned Outstanding Business Advocate Recognition in 2014 from Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly Magazine.
