Gioia A Faculty Panelist at Indiana State Bar CLE Seminar

Dan Gioia will participate as a Faculty Panelist at the Indiana State Bar continuing legal education seminar this Friday, November 15th in Michigan City. The Laporte County Bar Association is sponsoring this event with the I.S.B.A. Section for Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation. Gioia is currently serving on the Executive Council for this Section of the Bar.

The seminar is titled “How to Increase the Odds for a Successful Mediation” and attorneys who attend will receive two credit hours of C.L.E. towards their annual education requirements. The seminar is one of the A.D.R. Section’s Lunch-box Series,  where lawyers receive credits and can actively participate while enjoying a regular weekday lunch with fellow practitioners and Judges from the area in Northwest Indiana.

Moderator Ron Kuker, a retired Mediator, will conduct this Faculty Panel discussion, along with two Civil Law Mediators and two Family Law Mediators from Porter and Laporte Counties: Gioia is from Valparaiso, and will present as a frequent Family Law Mediator, along with Mark Roscoe from Portage.  Martin Kus from the  Laporte law firm of Newby Lewis Kaminski & Jones, and Bob Kennedy from Valparaiso,  will speak as  experienced frequent  Civil Law Mediators.

Daniel A. Gioia is an experienced Family Law Mediator and Civil Mediator. Dan has served on the Joint Task Force on Alternative Dispute Resolution Rules, and the Domestic Relations Focus Group for Family Mediation which was responsible for recommending revisions in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Rules and Procedures of the Indiana Supreme Court.
