Attended Institute on Securities Regulation

by | Nov 17, 2009 | News

In early November, Jon Schmaltz attended Practicing Law Institute’s 41st Annual Institute on Securities Regulation in New York City. The three day Institute features presentations by and discussions with more than 80 of the country’s top securities and corporate lawyers, including the Hon. Mary L. Schapiro, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other leading directors, counsel, and justices at the SEC, Financial Accounting Standards Board, U.S. Department of the Treasury, and other agencies, law firms, and courts throughout the United States. The Institute’s focus on timely securities issues, including exempt offerings, disclosure requirements, and capital market transactions in difficult times serves as a resource to BCC’s representation of clients seeking to raise capital or finance capital transactions in a new and challenging financial marketplace.
