Alexandra L. Martinez

Biography

Alexandra L. Martinez (“Alex”) is an Associate Attorney at Burke Costanza & Carberry LLP in Merrillville, Indiana.  She is a member of the firm’s Personal Services, litigation and business practice groups, providing representation throughout Northwest Indiana in a wide variety of elder law, family and guardianship related matters.

Alex was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University in 2014, received her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2017 and was admitted to the Indiana Bar that same year. Prior to joining Burke Costanza & Carberry LLP in 2019, Alex practiced largely in LaPorte County, Indiana with a primary focus in family law and criminal defense.

Alex serves on the Board of Directors of Indiana Legal Services, Inc., and is an Adjunct Professor of Family Law at Purdue University Northwest.  She is a member of the American Bar, Indiana State Bar, Lake County Bar, Porter County Bar and LaPorte County Bar Associations and was named an Indiana Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2023 and 2024.

Alex currently resides in Hebron, Indiana with her husband and two children.
