Dana Rifai successfully petitioned for P-1B non-immigrant visas for members of the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra to tour in the United States.  The P-1B classification applies to members of an internationally recognized entertainment group.  At least 75% of its members must have a relationship with the group for at least a year.

The entertainment group must further be internationally recognized having a high level of achievement in a field evidenced by a degree of skill and recognition substantially above that ordinarily encountered.  Documentation of the group’s reputation is essential.

Based in Leipzig, Germany, the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra is renowned for their historically informed musical performances in a style similar to when the work debuted.

The Leipzig Baroque Orchestra toured the Midwest this winter in collaboration with an award-winning university chorale to perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. John Passion.
