French Lick, IN

Dan Gioia was selected as the new Secretary/Treasurer for the Senior Lawyers Section of the Indiana State Bar Association at its annual meeting in French Lick last month. He joins former Judge James J. Richards of the Lake Superior Court in Hammond, who has also been a member of this Section, since his retirement from the active judiciary.  The Section has been active in promoting historic interviews of prominent Attorney Practitioners from all around the State, in conjunction with support from the Indiana Historical Society. These video and audio transcripts contain autobiographical insights into Indiana’s most memorable and influential professionals, and they are then archived for future reference in Indianapolis. Judge Nancy Vaidik who was recently named as Chief Judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals, has conducted some of these interviews, and she maintains an active interest in this unique project. Gioia will advance through the ranks as an officer of the Senior Lawyers Division, and will eventually serve as the Chair-elect, and then as Chairman of this group of distinguished attorneys.
