Attorney John Bushemi has been named to the Lake Court House Foundation, Inc. Capital Campaign Committee. The committee is undertaking a two year drive to raise funds for current and ongoing repairs and restoration of the Old Lake County Court House located on the Crown Point square. Repair and restoration costs have mounted in recent years due to the age of the building. The Lake Court House Foundation, Inc. is a not-profit organization which is not supported by tax dollars and relies solely on donations for preservation of the Old Lake County Court House. The court house was built in 1878 and enlarged in 1909 and housed Lake County government offices for almost 100 years until 1973. The Romanesque and Georgian styled structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its age and historical significance. The goal of the capital campaign is to raise $2,000,000. All donations to the capital campaign will be matched dollar for dollar by the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation, Inc.
