Margaret A. Williford has been elected the to Board of Directors of the Shirley Heinze Land Trust (SHLT) for a three-year term, commencing on January 1, 2010. SHLT is a not-for-profit land trust dedicated to preserving and protecting the unique ecosystems of the Indiana Dunes region and to conducting educational programs on a variety of ecological subjects. To date, SHLT has preserved over 1000 acres of natural lands in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte Counties through private donations and partnerships with public and private groups. In addition to serving on the SHLT Board, Margaret serves on the SHLT Land Strategy and Stewardship committees.
