Richard W. Castleton grew up in Naperville, Illinois. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree, and then returned to the Midwest to attend Valparaiso University for his Juris Doctor and a Masters in International Commerce & Policy.
After graduating from Valparaiso University, Mr. Castleton worked in International Business, but soon returned to the practice of law. His experience includes defending businesses in litigation and employment law matters, counseling employers on wage and hour and discrimination matters, representing business in government investigations, and drafting and revising employer handbooks. Mr. Castleton has published several articles and regularly presents on a variety of federal and state employment law topics.
Mr. Castleton’s professional affiliations include the Labor & Employment Sections of the American, Indiana, Colorado, and Maryland State Bar Associations, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Mr. Castleton is fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending their dance recitals and sporting events, cycling, and running. He enjoys being an active member in the community.
