Of counsel in the firm’s Litigation Services Practice Group, Ms. Schmidt was born in Gary, Indiana. She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, her M.S. degree from Indiana State University, and her law degree with high distinction from Valparaiso University. Ms. Schmidt is a trial attorney who practices in all state and federal courts.
Ms. Schmidt has extensive experience representing clients in employment law matters before state and federal agencies, and in state and federal courts. Ms. Schmidt also oversees the majority of the firm’s appellate work in the state and federal courts of appeal. Residing in the firm’s Merrillville office, Ms Schmidt is a certified alternative dispute resolution mediator.
