George W. Carberry has served as the firm’s Managing Partner since 1999 and is an AV-rated lawyer under the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory guidelines. Born in Chicago, he was educated at the University of Notre Dame and the Valparaiso University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review. He is a former law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Staton of the Court of Appeals of Indiana.
Mr. Carberry’s practice concentration is in business law, health care law with emphasis on representation of physicians, dentists, podiatrists and other health care professionals, and trust and estate planning and administration. He lectures on estate planning twice each year at the popular “Retirement Planning Today” seminars sponsored by Valparaiso University.
Mr. Carberry’s professional affiliations include membership in the Lake County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations as well as the American Health Lawyers Association.
He is Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of United Way of Porter County; legal counsel for and a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA Foundation of Valparaiso, Indiana, and a member and past president of the Valparaiso Rotary Club. Mr. Carberry was named Outstanding Professional Advisor for 2009 by the Porter County, Indiana, Community Foundation. George is also a member of the WineFest Committee of The Crisis Center, LLC.
