Joseph E Costanza was born in Chicago, Illinois. He received his bachelor's degree from Wabash College and his law degree from Northwestern University. Mr. Costanza served as director and general counsel for the First National Bank of East Chicago, Indiana and served on the Advisory Board of National City Bank, Lake County, Indiana. He currently is a director and counsel for America Trust and Savings Bank in Whiting, Indiana. Active in local business and economic affairs, Mr. Costanza also serves as counsel for the East Chicago Economic Development Commission, East Chicago Redevelopment Commission, East Chicago Housing Authority and East Chicago Park and Recreation District. Mr. Costanza is a past member of the Indiana Port Commission and serves as special counsel to the Indiana Port Commission. He presently serves as a Trustee of Calumet College of St. Joseph, located in Whiting, Indiana. He also serves on the Board of Directors of St. Catherine Hospital of East Chicago Indiana. He has played a role in community affairs for many years, having served as the director and past president of the East Chicago Chamber of Commerce, past president of the East Chicago Rotary Clubs and a director of Healthy East Chicago, Inc. Mr. Costanza's primary areas of practice include probate, trusts and estates, taxation and taxation appeals, and municipal law.
